Whatever the season, you'll find something to do in our neck of the woods! ...With dozens of Lakes and miles of green forests it is a mecca for the outdoorsman and his family ... Photo opportunities are everywhere for the camera buff ... There is a variety of game including deer, elk, bear, mountain sheep and goats, cougar, partridge, pheasant and other game birds. The river and many lakes are a natural habitat for osprey, geese, duck, crane, heron and the eagle. Bald eagles, a threatened species in Washington and endangered in other parts of the country, are common in the Lake Roosevelt area. They may be seen in the area throughout the year, but your chances of seeing an eagle are better during the winter months when the lake is at it's fullest. The Kettle Falls area offers outstanding opportunities for a wide variety of game fishing, and the scenic attractions surrounding the area provide ample opportunity to relax, ride or walk in awe.

Boating, Fishing, Swimming, Water Skiing, Canoeing, Kayaking,Snowmobiling, Ice Skating, Sleighing, Back Packing, Hiking, rock Hounding, Bird watching, Horseback Riding, Off-road vehicle and mountain biking with 1000's of miles of scenic trails, Explore old logging camps and pioneer homesteads, golf, for the downhill skier there are three ski resorts within an hour and a half drive, visit the Newport Ranger Station (Colville National Forest) for information on trails, recreation areas, campgrounds and wildlife viewing areas, go bowling, see a movie shop some of the regions unique gift shops, for those wanting to completely unwindsit in the sun and relax you can while away the hours on your own deck and watch the sunset over Lake Roosevelt. Scenic wonders abound with an International Scenic Byway, a National Scenic byway, a National Recreation Area, a National Wildlife Refuge, a National Forest, containing numerous camp grounds, lakes and rivers all located within close proximity of your accomodations at Blue Moose Cabins.(watch the world go by). and thats just a small list of some of the activities available to visitors to this region.

Their are old logging camps and pioneer homesteads, Golf courses close by, and for the downhill skier their are two ski resorts only a short drive away (49 Degrees North near Chewelah & Red Mountain Resort in Rossland, BC), and that is only a small list of the attractions and activities available to visitors
