Blue Moose Cabin Rental Information
Thank you for your interest in the Blue Moose Rental Cabins. We have three Cabins that we rent. The sleeping arrangements are as follows:
Cabin Number 1 is equipped with a queen bed plus a double size hide-a-bed, and will accommodate (4) people.
Cabin Number 2 is equipped with a double bed, one twin bed, plus a twin size hide-a-bed, and will accommodate (4) people.
Cabin Number 3 is equipped with a queen bed plus a twin bed plus a twin size hide-a-bed, and will accommodate up to (4) people.
The Cabins are quite private, several hundred feet from Highway 395. They are quite modern (not rustic). Each Cabin has a covered deck. All are no smoking Units. We do not allow pets 'in' the cabins. Many of our guests use our Cabins as a HUB, or as a 'Home Base' and from here to tour the area. Each bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet, sink, towels, soaps. All beds have full bedding. Each has a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave oven, and hot plate for cooking, utensils, basic dishes, silverware, table and chairs. You provide the food. All units are provided with a VCR and DVD player. The Cabins are 20 ft. x 16 ft. in size.
We are located along Highway 395, about 5 miles North of Kettle Falls in beautiful Northeast Washington, Ferry County. We are two miles North of the bridge crossing the Columbia River (Lake Roosevelt) and 26 miles from the Canadian border, 40 miles from Grand Forks B.C. Canada. Kettle Falls is 10 miles North of Colville; Colville is about 70 miles North of Spokane. You can see Lake Roosevelt (the Columbia River) from our cabins, but we do not front on the water, We do have access rights to the lake and boat mooring, but no dock.
It is an easy 5-10-minute walk from the cabins to the lakeshore and boat mooring. There are some nice secluded beaches for just lying around and a beautiful area for swimming and fishing. We are located on 3.25 acres, and have some hiking trails, and there is a full time creek on the property. It is 4 miles to the boat launch from here, and about the same distance to fish the Kettle River.
The Cabins rent for $60.00 dollars each per night (double occupancy). We charge an additional $15.00 per night for each additional person over 12 years of age, $10.00 additional per night for each child under 12 years old. Children under 3 years of age are free (as long as we have the space available in the Cabin). We may at times make group rate discounts at our option, or discounts for longer stays.
We do not accept any kind of credit, or plastic cards. Payment must be made by cash, or Postal Money orders. Payment must be made in advance of the rental term. We will hold a cabin with a mailed-in personal check deposit of 30% for spring/summer rental reservations (Note: deposits are not refundable), and 'by phone commitment' for winter/fall reservations (by check deposits at our option). Full payment must be made prior to occupancy and all renters must sign a simple basic rental agreement prior to occupancy.
July and August can be quite warm, in the 80's-90's and dry. These months are quite in demand and we usually have some advanced reservations for those months. We need to know the dates you are considering in these months to give you a confirmed reservation.
